Why To Scream With Laughter
When did you last find yourself screaming with laughter? Do you still remember why?
As every day the news serve us a heavy dose of depressing tales, we unfortunately sometimes forget to appreciate how wonderful this life actually is, and how much fun we are supposed to have. Not any longer: Challenge someone to scream with laughter at least once per day from today onwards for the next seven days. (Oh, and – maybe stop following the news at the same time.)
Laughter is well-known to have incredible health benefits: It relaxes your body, boosts your immune system, and apparently even prevents various heart diseases. When you laugh, your body produces endorphins (Yep – that same feel-good hormone that chocolate produces) and relieves stress. Laughing makes you more attractive. Oh, and arguably it is also highly contagious! (Sorry to use a soft drink ad here – but it’s a great one.)
Arguably, because laughing men in trains do not always delight their fellow travelers…
Anyway. Laughing is awesome. And, if we are honest, we probably do it way less frequently than we should. Hence the challenge to scream with laughter at least once a day from now on. (No. Do not settle for a chuckle. Scream with laughter!)
How To Scream With Laughter
How you get there is entirely up to you. You may read a book (try Daniel Wallace’ “Yes Man”), watch funny/stupid/weird Hollywood or YouTube videos, google “I don’t give a f*** memes”, stalk hilarious comedians on Facebook, or, best of all, meet with some friends to make each other crack up like crazy.
Only one condition: You need to share how you did it with the world. Either put it in the comments below, or post it on Facebook. Yes, every single day. Sharing is caring. Fair deal, isn’t it?
Share The Laugh!
Talking about sharing: As there are few things cooler than sharing happiness (can you think of any?), for this Jallenge you will need to nominate three persons:
- The person coming immediately to your head when thinking of “screaming with laughter”.
- One person you haven’t seen laughing for the past month (can be because you haven’t seen each other at all).
- One person who you know will love the Mr. Bean scene.
Make sure these persons are aware that they, too, have to challenge another three persons – and soon the whole world will crack up with laughter. Wouldn’t that be unbelievably wonderful? Plan the first ten minutes of each day to complete this Jallenge. Not only will you have no Jallenge to “worry” about anymore, but you will start the day with a huge load of endorphin, and you’ll have something hilarious to share with whoever comes your way. It’s gonna be an incredibly happy day! (Despite this you should still meet your friends and family to crack up together later in the day.)
